ABOUT Waverly
Hello and welcome! I’m Waverly (she/her), a trauma-trained facilitator and multidimensional mother. My work weaves together sacred space, sound, and somatics and has supported thousands of people around the world in living with more presence.
I understand the complexity of being a white woman in relationship with ceremony, which has been stewarded by indigenous peoples for time immemorial. I’m consistently exploring this complexity and am doing the following to be in right relationship with ceremony.
I’m currently studying plant medicine facilitation and space holding with an indigenous Mexican medicine woman in the Mazatec lineage. I’m a graduate of Linda Thai’s Certificate in Somatic Embodiment and Regulation Strategies and Charlotte James’ Psychedelic Liberation Training program focused on decolonization and collective liberation. I’m a member of the Native American Church and regularly attend Lakota inipi ceremonies (sweat lodges) and have sat in indigenous-led plant medicine ceremonies, most recently with indigenous elders from the Huni Kuni peoples of the Brazilian Amazon. I also have over 300 hours of participating in traditional plant medicine ceremonies and years of experience with microdosing.
My professional bio, education, and training are midway down this page.
A bit of my story—my husband, twins, and I live and steward land in the mountains of Crozet, Virginia, on unceded Monacan territory. I’m of Sicilian, Italian, and Irish ancestry. My work is rooted in my values of presence, integrity, compassion, reciprocity, authenticity, responsibility, creativity, and collaboration.
My spiral journey into myself began with the pregnancy and birth of my twins in 2015. During my postpartum time, I was searching for stillness, a way to slow down, a place to connect with and find myself again. This longing led me to my first sound baths, plant medicine, ceremonies of many forms, teachers from all over the world, and started my path of self-discovery and healing.
I’m a Virgo Sun, Cancer Moon, Gemini Rising, and a 2/4 Manifesting Generator. I’m glad you’re here. Thanks for reading a bit of my story.
